I love the ripples on a quiet lake when we throw a rock. The ripples it makes in circular shapes. I made this large deformed bowl with terre 100x, glazed with jaune curcuma and noir champy.

ANTIQUE FRAMES - ma collection de cadres anciens.

A long dish
"Une baguette s'il vous plait" was one of the first french phrases I learned when I moved to France in 1994.
Inspired by the shape of the baguette and made to hold a baguette on a table. I etched white clay in my favorite imaginary organic forms and dipped in transparent glaze.
My insect inspired chaise longue!
Chaise longue, daybed, divan, méridienne, fainting couch whatever you want to call it, originated from ancient Egypt. I remember reading that this use to be a common piece of furniture in dining rooms. When ladies ate too much and their corsets got too tight, they would have this to lay on when they felt faint hence this was called a fainting couch. It is my absolute favorite piece of furniture because it reminds me to take it easy and luxuriate. A reminder to sit back and enjoy life with a good book, draw ideas on a sketch pad, write on my journal and have a glass of wine.
VASE collection - titled "FACIAL EXPRESSIONS"
An ongoing project to produce a series of vases with faces. Inspired by Fornasetti. The flowers become part of the art which transforms the piece as the flowers evolve and wilt. The flowers become like a headpiece, a hat, or a wig.

LACE PAINTING
acrylic on paper with lace boarder
"I love lace! I found vintage lace ribbons at a fleamarket in different sizes, motifs, and colors. I bought their whole stock. Inspired to incorporate them into my paintings to add texture & a little something different into my work. I think it's a success. Lace makes everything look pretty and sweet."

STAR CACTUS POTUS
"I incorporate stars a lot in my pottery. I love stars in all it's different forms. I have stars all over my home. Stars make me happy"
PERIPHERAL VISION
"I love engraving over soft clay. Nothing more gratifying than carving shapes, forms, images on clay. There is a sense of serenity especially when repeating the same lines or circles or ovals over and over and over again until you have no space left to cover. Almost like putting me in a trance, something meditative about this process of repetition. So when I see this piece it brings me back to this sense of stillness."

BLUE CORAL
"Molding clay soothes me. I feel most relaxed and content when I'm touching clay, creating shapes, functional objects that are versatile, scultptural and pleasing to my eye. I like pottery where one can see the imprint of one's touch. Where clay was pinched and shaped with bare hands and hardly any use of any tools. I appreciate imperfection. I find pleasure in deforming & deconstructing clay. "
